Third International Day of Awareness on Food Waste and Food Losses

Yesterday, Thursday September 29th 2022, marked the third International Food Waste and Food Loss Awareness Day.  The concepts of Food Waste and Food Loss are essential and have become increasingly important: food loss and food waste, which take place throughout the supply chain from production and at the point of consumption and post-consumption, respectively, cause great environmental and economic damage, not to mention the ethical issues concerning this phenomenon.

Updated the Map of Reduce and Reuse Points and the list of websites and Apps

For the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) we are pleased to announce the update of the reduce and reuse roints map and the list of websites and Apps on the website Beataladifferenziata.it.

The so-called "reduce and reuse points" are shops, non-profit associations, artisan workshops, bars, and more, where it is possible to purchase products without packaging, have objects and artifacts repaired, sell or donate what is no longer used.

The initiative in Metropolitan City of Turin on the occasion of the European Week for Waste Reduction

The thirteenth edition of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) will take place from Noveber 20 to the 28th: this year the chosen theme is "Circular Communities".

The EWWR initiative stems from the LIFE + program to raise awareness of stakeholders, consumers, local authorities and institutions on the methods and policies outlined by the European Union aimed at reducing waste production.
