Waste cycle

After differentiating them, where does the waste go? They are intended to be treated at recycling plants where, through specific industrial procedures, the different materials (paper, glass, plastic, components of household appliances and electronics etc ...) will be recovered. In this way, in addition to limiting the quantity of waste destined for the landfill or the waste-to-energy plant, a considerable saving of material and/or energy is obtained by reintegrating the recovered materials into the production cycles. The products to be recycled come from pre-consumption materials (processing waste etc.) and from post-consumption materials (e.g. municipal solid waste).

  • Arrival and weighing of waste collected through door-to-door collection or through dumpster
  • Ground discharge of waste, and subsequent displacement on the conveyor belt, on which small foreign waste is eliminated
  • Selection of the various types of waste carried out by the operators and start towards the relative containers.
  • When the containers are filled, the waste will be placed inside compacting presses and then packed, ready to be delivered to producers of recycled material

The remaining waste will be transferred to waste-to-energy plants or landfills.

In the graphics you can see in detail the recycling process of the most important differentiated waste:

  • glass
  • metal
  • organic
  • paper
  • wood
  • waste from electrical and electronic equipment (R.A.E.E.)
  • plastic
