The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is in its 16th edition this year! From 16 to 24 November, citizens, businesses, schools, public administrations and associations across Europe will join together to promote concrete actions aimed at reducing waste. This year, the central theme is food waste, an issue that was already addressed in 2014, but which is now recurring with increasing urgency.
Every year, tonnes of food are thrown away, wasting valuable resources and causing significant environmental and socio-economic impacts. EWWR 2024 will focus on projects and awareness-raising initiatives to reduce, reuse and recycle in the food supply chain.
Don't miss the fourth and final webinar of EWWR 2024, scheduled for Friday, 11 October 2024, from 15:00 to 16:30. During the meeting, entitled: ‘The impact of local actions: associations and citizens united against food waste’, inspiring projects and practical ideas to prevent and reduce food waste will be presented.
Register now to discover concrete examples of good environmental practices and prepare your action during EWWR 2024.
