Discover the World of Packaging and Join the European Week for Waste Reduction!
Europe is preparing for a week of environmental awareness, focused on waste: from 18 to 26 November 2023, comes the EWWR (European Week for Waste Reduction).
Ahead of this event, the third season of the podcast promoted by AICA (International Association for Environmental Communication) has been officially launched, ready to take you to the heart of the European Week for Waste Reduction. New proposals and initiatives for waste reduction are coming from all over Europe. If you also want to propose an action but do not know where to start, do not stress, relax listening to the "Storie Circolari" podcast.
The first episode aired yesterday: "Where to start? Ideas and suggestions". The aim of the episode is to explore the possibility of resizing our habits to minimize the waste produced in everyday life. Imagining a typical day in its various steps (from arrival to work, to lunch, to convivial moments with friends), the two speakers Francesco and Debora explore some possibilities of reduction and reuse of packaging and food waste.
During the episode of the Podcast was launched the challenge "Purchases without veils", made in collaboration with the project GASP! of association Eufemia, to show its commitment to reducing packaging. To participate you can fill out the online form.
What the challenge consist of? During the week of the EWWR, participants will have to upload a photo in the instagram stories, showing the packaging resulting from their shopping and telling their observations. The goal is to stop and reflect and share good practices with our friends, and not only, to reduce packaging. In this way every citizen can participate, with a small action, the EWWR.
