The phenomenon of food waste and the initiatives implemented in Turin to counter it, were illustrated last May 31, 2019 at the headquarters of the MAO - Museum of Oriental Art in Via San Domenico 3, Turin. The charity evening, organized by the Turin New Century Lions Club to raise funds for the "Enlarged Solidarity Breakfast" service, included, in addition to the guided visit to the MAO, also an aperitif prepared by the chef Maria Zingarelli of the Il Giardino Restaurant, with the fruit and vegetables recovered from the Porta Palazzo market, according to the dictates of the "circular kitchen". Speakers include Dr. Tiziana Pia of the Metropolitan City, Dr. Sonia Migliore of the Food Pride Project and Chef Maria Zingarelli.
