Offices closing 09 October
On October 9th from 9.00 to 12.00 the administrative offices, the toll-free number and the SCS secretariat will be closed. All operational services taking place on 09 10 2024 are confirmed
SCS
SCS was founded in 1996 from the transformation of the "Consorzio di Igiene Urbana" (Urban Hygiene Consortium) into a joint stock company. Each of the 57 Municipalities that form our company is a member of SCS, which manages the service entrusted by the "Consorzio Canavesano Ambiente". SCS provides urban ground hygiene services, as well as waste collection and transport, to about 108,000 inhabitants in this territory.
In these associated Municipalities the waste collection systems are:
- Isobarone System (paper and unsorted waste are collected door-to-door, there is a road collection for plastic and glass, and no collection is provided for organic or green waste if not requested by the users who don’t home composting);
- Internalized System (provides door-to-door collection for unsorted waste, paper, green waste, there is a road collection for plastic and glass and a neighbourhood collection for the organic fraction).

Notes
WARNING
In these pages, the colors of the UNI 11686: 2017 "Waste Visual Elements" standard are used to identify the different waste fractions. In your Municipality the separate waste is collected by the use of bins with these colors, that differ from that standard:
- Paper: YELLOW containers
- Plastic and metal: LIGHT BLUE containers
- Glass: GREEN containers
- Organic: BROWN containers
- Unsorted: ORANGE containers

Winter time restoration for mixed waste
From 16 September, the municipalities where the collection service of mixed waste in the winter period takes place in the afternoon, return to the usual time from 12.30 to 19.00. The waste must be submitted by 12.30 on the day of transit.

Change in services 15 and 16 August 2024
We would like to point out that collection services including collection centers will not be carried out on 15 August, except in Ivrea (undifferentiated and plastic) and Caluso (undifferentiated) with exposure by 6.00 am. On the occasion of the November 1, 2023 holiday, the waste collection service will not be provided. In the following Municipalities, however, will be regularly carried out exclusively in the morning from 6.00 to 12.00: - Ivrea collection services for unsorted waste, glass and street plastic; - Banchette unsorted waste collection services.
