The 26th CinemAmbiente Festival, which will end on Sunday, June 11, is taking place these days. The event was founded in 1998 by Gaetano Capizzi, with the aim of presenting and rewarding the best films and documentaries focused on environmental issues. Growing over the years, it has become one of the most important film festivals internationally.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Culture and UNEP (United Nations Environment Program), and also supported by Gruppo Iren, the 2023 edition presents 82 films from as many as 38 countries around the world. These offer a glimpse into the current state of the planet and the issues at the center of international environmental debate, such as global warming, climate and social justice, ecological transition and land defense.
As usual, the event divides the presentation of the films into the categories Documentary Competition, Short Film Competition, Made in Italy and Panorama, as well as dedicating the educational section CinemAmbiente Junior to the youngest.

Following the screening of the films during the festival, from June 7 to June 18, 2023, it is possible to watch the films for free in streaming, directly from the CinemAmbiente website via the Open DDB platform. Each day from June 7 to June 12, at 09:00 a.m., a series of films that participated in the festival will be made available as they are made available. From June 12, the programming will be complete and until June 18, all the films presented at the festival will be available!
